Trick or Treat!

It's Halloween and we just can't wait to go Trick or Treating!  Daddy says that we walk from house to house and knock on the door and people will give us candy.  Now we find this pretty hard to believe and are wondering if he's playing a trick of his own on us but we'll go along with it for now.

Sadie, Scareltt, Serena:  "We're all ready!  Let's go!  Let's go!"

Sadie, Scareltt, Serena: "We're going to get a pile of candy THIS big!"

DING-DONG!  Knock Knock Knock!

Scarlett: "I've got my bag all ready...."
Serena:  "I see the bowl of candy just sitting there taunting us...."
Sadie:  "I don't see anyone in there...."

Scarlett:  "This is boring already...."
Serena:  "Can we just quietly open the door and take some candy?  They'll never know...."
Sadie:  "Hang on, someone's coming!"

Serena:  "Hey, this is the same cheap stuff we've got at our house.  What a rip!"
Scarlett:  "I think this stuff is loaded with carbs."
Sadie:  "I don't know which one I want...."

On to the next house.......

Serena:  "The door is closed.  What do we do?"
Sadie:  "I can't really see through these windows...."

Serena:  "Hey, the doorbell!  Let's try pushing it!"
Sadie:  "I don't know, what if it opens some kind of front porch trapdoor?"
Scarlett:  "Just push it and see what happens...."

Scarlett:  "PAYDIRT!  Fill 'er up!"
Serena:  "Look at that big spider....is it real?"
Sadie:  "No, it's fake....I already checked."

DING DONG!

Sadie:  "Holy smokes, look at the size of that water buffalo!"
Serena:  "That's not a water buffalo, it's a polar bear!"
Scarlett:  "No, it's one of those fire truck dogs!"

Sadie:  "Um....doggy, do you have any candy?"

Sadie:  "Well that was rude, he just walked off!  Was it something I said?  And he didn't give us even one piece of candy!"
Serena:  "Big ol' thing is probably going to hibernate....it is getting cooler you know."
Scarlett:  "It's probably better....his eyes looked all red and scary anyway.  He probably ate all of the candy they had and didn't feel good."

And so we continued up the street and got our whole bags filled with treats.  On the way back we were so tired we made Mommy and Daddy carry us....we fell asleep and didn't even eat ANY candy!!!  Next year it'll be different.  We'll eat all we can and will still be bouncing off the walls at 3am.....won't that be fun, Mommy?
