Fun at the Park

Wilderness Park

Today we went to a wilderness park on the edge of the mountains for a picnic lunch and fun at the playground.  We climbed all over everything, got on the swings, and played in the sand.  But our favorite was the see-saw...

Then we went to the ranger station and saw all the stuffed animals that live in our neighborhood--rabbits, skunks, squirrels, bobcats, coyotes, mountain lions.....and SNAKES!  They even had a live one that liked to be held.  Naturally Mommy was nowhere to be seen but someone wasn't afraid!

Serena: "See I can hold him nicely!"

Sadie: "Ooo, gross!  Don't let him get anywhere near me!!"

Serena:  "I can wear him like a necklace!!"

Sadie: "His tongue goes in and out like THIS!!"

Serena:  "That wasn't nice, go get her!!!"

Sadie:  "I was just kidding, I'm just a little girl, just skin and bones!  I don't taste good!!"

Strawberry Princess

Sadie:  "Daddy planted 4 strawberry plants in a rectangle pot behind the house and today there were 5 baby strawberries that were ready to eat.  I picked them and put them on Serena's, Scarlett's, and my pancakes.  They were really yummy, trust me."

Birthday Party Fun

Today we went to a birthday party for some twin boys we know.  They were in the hospital the same time we were so we've known them for a while now.  The girls have been to this kind of place several times but it was Little David's first time on such a *big* slide.....(watch for Serena off to the side....)

Then we had pizza and cake afterwards....it was SO much fun!!!

Gone Fishin'

Sadie and Scarlett and Daddy went fishing together after he got home from work.  We like it when he catches a fish so we can hold its tail and poke its eyes.  It's all in the name of science.....we're ichthyologists!  This time we were in for a big surprise because it wasn't a baby fish...this one could fight back!!!

Scarlett:  "I don't want him to touch me!!!"
