Easter Egg Hunt Take Two

Today we had ANOTHER Easter egg hunt in the park up the road from us!  And the Easter Bunny came again!!!  He must really love our neighborhood.  We feel sorry for all the other kids in the world, he spends so much time here there's no time for anyone else!!

All:  "Eeeeeeaster eggggggggggsssssss!!!!  Ok, hurry, the egg hunt is starting!!!""

"Boy, it's really competitive, even the grownups are after eggs.  Look, that Mommy behind Sadie just ran over her kid to get that egg first.  You won't do that to us, will you Daddy?  We'll share with you, you don't have to find any by yourself..."

Easter Egg Hunt

Today we went to Mom's multiple group's Easter egg hunt!  There were lots of candy and treats and eggs hidden everywhere!  And the Easter Bunny was there!  It was David's first time looking for eggs and it didn't take long for him to figure it out.

David:  "Ok, I found this shiny pink one.....there's something inside..."

David:  "How do you open it?  It's child-proof!!!"

 David: "Wow, I found another one!  They're not easy to find but with my eagle eye vision I can see them no problem.  It's just not fair for the other kids..."

David:  "And I'll take this one...."

David:  "And put it in here..."

David:  "There's another one right over there and..."

David:  "...another right...bug.  BUG!!!!!  What are you doing on my hand, bug??  You better not bite me..."

David:  "Hey don't go, bug, I was just kidding."

And then the girls went to the face painting booth and got their war paint put on....

Sadie:  "Ok, lady, hurry up, I got a whole bag of easter eggs to sort through...."

Sadie:  "Hey, that pretty good!  Look everyone, I'm a butterfly!!"

Serena:  "Are you sure you're done?  Do I look like a firework?  With stars and everything?"

Serena:  "Wow, I do, I DO!!"

Scarlett:  "Lady, you better not mess up my eyeliner or we're going to go a few rounds...."

Scarlett:  "Just make sure it looks as good as Serena's...."

Scarlett:  "WOW!  I like it, I LIKE IT!!!"

Scarlett:  "THANKS!!!!"

David:  "Hey what's this orange thing?  It's a long tunnel.....I better see where it goes...."

David:  "I'm stuck.  I'M STUCK!!!"

David:  "Whew, I made it!!!  Hi Dad!!!"

Serena and Scarlett:  "It's not that scary, it's actually kind of fun!!!"

Surf's Up Dude

Today Daddy warmed up the hot tub and told me to get ready to jump in.

David:  "Yeah....I'm huge.  You don't get this body for free, you know?"

David: "You have pump iron.....hoist it over your head like this!"

David:  "Only then do you get the huge shoulders, barrel chest, and chiseled abs like me.  Don't hate.  Just admire."

Food Court

Every time we go to Costco we get lots of double takes and second glances.  The carts thankfully seat two kids side by side so Mommy and Daddy each take 2 of us and we split up to get the things we need to avoid the attention.  When it's time to pay, we're all together again and the freight train loaded with us kids and groceries goes through the checkout line.  Last time Daddy picked up a red phone and called in an emergency order on the pizza hotline.  And it was ready minutes later!  Daddy noticed that we already go through almost a whole pizza as a family.....imagine how it's going to be when we get big!  Afterwards we had ice cream too!  

"Hey, Dad!  Less talk...MORE FOOD!"

Dad went into a Ross store to look for some shoes.  I figured I'd just come along for the ride....

"I doubt they'll have much here but what the heck, we can at least check it out...."

"Holy smokes...I've got an Old Navy shirt on!  They're sure not going to like that.  I saw that security guard over there giving me the evil eye...."

"Hey I like those over there, they're just my style!!"

"Starting at point guard for the Tar Heels, a 31" point guard....Little David !"

"That 3-pointer was for the lovely lady in the 15th row!!!  Hi Mom!!!"

BIG Bicycle

Dad, can we go to the big park?  Daddy, Daddy, give me your answer do....We'll go riding on a bicycle built for.....three!!

Sadie:  "Watch where you're going Serena!"
Scarlett:  "What's my hair doing?"
Serena:  "Pedal, Scarlett!"
