David's Beach Trip

Today Mom and Dad took me to the beach.  It was a nice, sunny day and the air was cool so I had to dress in my sweater. 

David: "This place is ALL right..."

David: "Just relaxing....getting some rays...."

David:  "Hey, lady, you're blocking the sun....can you move a little?"

David:  "These are my Mom and Dad.....they're cool...they can hang with me."

David:  "Soaking up the sun.........you can't start the summer tan soon enough.  Chicks dig it."

David: "Aaaahhhhhhhhhh........."

Christmas Day!

It's Christmas! It's finally here! Daddy woke us up this morning and was so excited to tell us that Santa Claus had came! We stumbled downstairs to see what Daddy was blabbering about and son of a gun, he was right. Someone had been there! The cookies were gone! Only crumbs remained! The carrots we left for Rudolph...GONE! We sat in stunned silence soaking this all in and trying to fathom the implications of this.....but who cares when there's PRESENTS to open! The wrapping paper flew with some help from Mommy and out came dolls and clothes and books and toys and all sorts of stuff. Santa even brought us an electronic keyboard! Mommy just LOVES it when we play with it, especially when all three of us somehow press every key at once with the volume at FULL BLAST. Wow, what a day!  When the dust settled and it was finally evening, Daddy decided it was time to take some pictures.

Serena: "Hi Daddy! Merry Christmas!"

Serena:  "Check out my black dress!  Scarlett and Sadie have one too!"

Serena: "And I'm wearing my PINK SHOES!!"

Serena: "Ok, All Done!  My baby dolly is over there!"

Scarlett: "Hi, Daddy!!  This is our Christmas tree!!"

Scarlett:  "And there's a beautiful angel on top!!"

Scarlett: "This tree looks so real!  And the lights are so pretty!"

Scarlett: "Are you sure it's ok?  Normally you yell at me not to touch.  You're confusing me, Daddy.  I'm only 2 1/2 you know."

Sadie: "Hi Daddy, I had a great Christmas!  Thank you, Mommy!"

Sadie:"Oh I'm gettin' nothin' for Chritmas...cause I ain't been nothing but bad...."

Sadie: "I just love this Santa Claus ornament...."

Sadie: "And the poinsetta flowers are so pretty!"

Taking good pictures of the girls is so difficult.  They each want to go their own way and they are at the age where they do just the opposite you ask them to just because they know it's not what you want.  Still don't believe me?  You just see the pretty faces in the pictures above......Still not convinced?  Ok, just so you think that I'm not just making it up....

Girls: "Here we are!  One big happy family!!"
David: "What's the score?  Did they get that first down?"

Serena: "BLINK!!"
Scarlett:  "You're CRAZY if you think I'm going to sit here any longer.."
Sadie:  "BORING!!!"
David: "Yeah!  You bet it was a late hit!  He should have went for the knees!!"

Girls:  "Give us a kiss, Daddy! Kissy Kissy!!!!"
David:  "Oh man, I think I'm going to get sick.  These chicks are too much for me."

Girls: "Head and Shoulders Knees and Toes, KNEES AND TOES!!!"
David: "Criminy....FULL MOON HERE!  NOT PLEASANT!!"

Serena: "Eewww!  What's this in my nose!"
Scarlett:  "Hee hee hee!!"
Sadie: "Ahhhhhhhhh......"
David: "Man, if I could get out of this chair, Dad, I'd WRING their neck!!!  Sit still for the picture!"

Girls: "FUMBLE!  Everyone jump on the ball!  HAHAHAHA!"
David: "Where?  Who?  But they were just about to score a touchdown!!!"

Family Christmas Pictures

Christmas is just a couple of weeks away so we went and had family pictures taken.  It is incredibly hard getting three 2 year olds to sit still for even a split second, let alone to look at the camera....you might as well forget getting them to do so all at once.  And smile?  Are you kidding?  You're lucky to get one blinking, the other with their finger in their nose, and the third snarling at the other two, "No Pushing!  Be Nice!"  It's a Christmas miracle that any of them turned out. 

Our Family:  Left to right, Sadie, Scarlett, Serena, David.  (I'm sure you can figure out Mommy and Daddy)

Serena:"Don't worry, Dad, I've got Little David.  Buddy, you aren't going anywhere!"
Scarlett: "I'm carrying all the weight...and I think he's got a full diaper too.  Hey! Stop the cameras! We better do something about this!"
Sadie: "Ok, I think I've had about all of this fun I can stand..."

Serena: "The more I sit here, the funnier the faces Daddy makes get!"

Scarlett: "Ok, green ornament....hold it still.....look cute....how's this?"

Sadie:  "Of course I know how to smile, you just have to *EARN* it."

 

David: "Hey there, pretty photographer lady....you just won two tickets to the gun show!" 

The best Christmas presents and 4 prayers answered......

Monkey Business

Little David: "I can't believe they have me in this ridiculous looking outfit.....monkeys on the front, eating their bananas and swinging around....Heck, I've even got monkeys covering my feet.  What kind of sick people are these?  Oh well, I'm too tired to even complain.  It's not even worth the effort.

Little David: "Well that was a nice nap...hey, I've got a new outfit on.  And what do you know, NO MONKEYS!  Finally...it's about time they....oh...great....the blanket.  Again with the monkeys.  Monkeys and their bananas.  You know, if they like bananas so much, they probably taste pretty good.

Little David: "But then again, I've heard they plug you up like a rubber drain stopper.  No thanks!"
