Mommy:  "Where's Daddy?"

Sadie: "I'm trying to eat and watch my show!!! PLEASE!!"

Park and Play

Today we went to the park....they have all kinds of slides, see-saws, and swings for us to play on.  Mommy especially likes all the sand that's around and says that more of it comes home in our shoes than stays in the playground.  We don't know if that's really true but it is really fun there.

Sadie:  "Serena, move, or I'm going to slide right into you!"

Sadie: "That would be pretty funny but we'd both end up in a big pile in the sand!"

Sadie:  "Here I go!!!"

Scarlett:  "This sand gets everywhere!  It's like dirt or something!"

Serena: "Actually, Scarlett, sand is made up of minerals and ground up rock. As rocks erode from the forces of wind and water, tiny grains are worn off the rock and this is what forms sand.  A lot of sand is silica based. Furthermore silica sand is what window glass is made from and......Scarlett?  Sadie?"

Serena:  "Where did everyone go?"

Scarlett:  "All right, Sadie, this isn't that hard.  We're on a see-saw, I'm up, so you need to stand up so I can go back down and again....."

Sadie:  "It all sounds pretty pointless to me......all these ups and downs and we never really get anywhere."

Serena:  "Actually, Sadie's right.  Technically you're doing no work.  Work = Force x Distance.  You've got plenty of force but your total distance moved is zero and...um.....can I have a turn?

On a Mission

Today we went to an old Spanish Mission and walked around looking at the old buildings and all the beautiful flowers.  We have to say, those Spanish people sure had a green thumb.....or at least the people taking care of the place now do!  There were flowering plants everywhere and a big fountain with fish in it just waiting to be looked at.

Sadie: "I like this seat!  I could sit here all day!  Well maybe for a few seconds anyway...."

Sadie:  "FISH!  FISH!!  Kiss!  Give me a kiss!"

Sadie: "Ok, that's just crazy.  WAY too many of you now...it's kinda getting scary."

Sadie: "They must have all been boy fish.  They were lining up for kisses."

Scarlett: "Oooo....this seat is nice and warm in the sun."

Scarlett: "Holy smokes, there are a lot of fish in there!"

Scarlett:  "Hi fishies!!!  HI!"

Serena:  "I just love these shoes....they match my dress!"

Serena: "Look!  What do you think?"

Serena:  "Their mouth looks like this!  Just waiting for a kiss!"

Scarlett: "More crackers please!"

Sadie: "Sniiiiiiiiiif!!!  These blue ones smell good!"

Sadie: "And they tickle my nose!"

Sadie: "Now my nose is all red and tickly....I think I'm going to sneeze!"

Scarlett: "The blue ones do have a smell!"

Scarlett:  "Hold still?  Like this?  I am a statue."

Scarlett:  "I am a rock.  I am a stone."

Serena: "Sniiifff!"

Serena: "I don't smell much of anything."

Serena:  "You don't suppose my little nose is broken already?"

Serena:  "Mikey loves me.....he loves me not.....he loves me!"

There's way too many flowers, birds, and fish to look at to sit still!  Let us go!  Let us go!  Let's play!
