Today Sadie and Scarlett got their first taste of real food....carrots! It was all new to them as they had never had anything but Mommy's milk....the texture, the taste, everything was completely foreign. It was a real struggle at first to get them to understand it was food and not to instantly gag and spit it out. Serena was extra cranky and slept through the whole battle. Her turn is coming up though!
Scarlett: "Wow.....I'm glad THAT'S OVER. I'm not even sure what hit us."
Sadie:"You're not going to make me eat more of that stuff are you?"
Scarlett:"It actually wasn't that bad. I kind of liked it!"
Sadie:"Me too!!!!!"

Hat Trick
Now that it's getting sunny outside, we need to get used to wearing hats. We pretty much make any style look good.
Scarlett: "How does it look?"
Sadie: "Does this pattern clash with my outfit?"
Sadie: "I can't decide which one!"
Scarlett: "We don't need hats to play in our walking chairs!!!"

Spring is here!
Spring is in the air and we can't help but be happy. Mommy dresses us in short sleeves and we feel so comfortable. The fruit trees behind our house are all blooming and the orange tree smells especially sweet.
Serena: "It's enough to make a girl hungry."
Sadie: "That's gross!"
Serena: "I wasn't really going to eat it!"
Scarlett: "I knew you weren't going to! It was just pretend."
Scarlett: "Look at me in my shorts!"
Sadie: "Pretty! I'm wearing shorts too!"

Baby Pile Up
We're all able to roll over whenever we want, though sometimes we get stuck after doing so. When you get three babies rolling around in all directions I suppose an occasional collision or fender bender is to be expected.
Sadie: "Ouch! HEY! Get off me!"
Dad: "Serena!"
Serena: "Yes? What did I do? Um....it was an accident!"
Dad: "Tell Sadie you're sorry...."
Serena: "Sorry, Sadie!"
A big pile of little Bements.............

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
If there's one thing we just can't get enough of (besides food and a clean diaper of course), it's a mirror. If we weren't so cute then I could see how it could be a little strange, but put us in front of a framed mirror and we'll show you a framed work of art.
Serena: "Oh, hey there, good lookin'...."
Scarlett: "This is HILARIOUS!!!"
Sadie: "Does this mirror make me look fat?"

T-shirt Day
Today Mommy dressed us up in T-shirts and pants since it's getting closer to spring. We don't mind the one-piece outfits but sometimes it's fun to try something new. We also really liked the words on some of the shirts as they seemed to really fit.
Serena: "I'm the only one with any teeth so I don't need any catchy slogans on my shirt."
Scarlett: "Yes, you read right, Dad. This finger right here......"
Sadie: "I suppose if Dad's going to go to all that effort making faces and talking all silly like that, the least I can do is sort of smile. When we're done with this, get me my blanket, a bottle, and keep that binkie handy. Diaper could use a little checking out too. Chop chop!"

Family Picture
It's early March and we're over 6 months old already. Mommy and Daddy wanted to take a family picture so everyone can see how much we're growing. We asked Mommy to dress us up in our little animal outfits, but we're not really animals. They're just pretend. Serena was a mouse, Scarlett is a ladybug, and Sadie was a bunny. Even our little feet had little animal faces on them, complete with ears. We think Daddy was trying to be a King Kong gorilla but he didn't need any special clothes.
